Ypsomed Innovation Award

The Ypsomed Innovation Award 2025 has been won by Yuon Control AG.

The aim of the Innovation Award, which grants a total of CHF 100,000 to the recipients, is to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology from universities of applied sciences and universities in the Swiss midlands to the industry. A total of 34 projects were submitted to the competition and reviewed by a jury of six experts. The evaluation criteria were innovation potential and originality, market implementation potential and technical feasibility, as well as the experts’ overall impression of the team, the dossier and the live presentations.

The winners, Yuon Control AG, develop high-precision technologies and systems for building automation and energy management. With a focus on modern control and regulation technology, the company offers solutions based on advanced sensor, IoT and software platforms. Yuon Control AG’s systems enable seamless integration of data from different sources, enabling precise analysis and optimisation of energy flows and building functions.

The runners-up were Xemperia (University of Fribourg) and Santella (University of Bern).
