An annual arts event, last year’s Party In The Park saw some of London’s most famous playwrights and thespians sipping champagne in the fair’s elegant booths before tucking into an English garden party-themed dinner and auction under glowing Japanese lanterns.
This year, Sam Loxton, who happens to be a T1 diabetic, is on the committee for the event and the opening night gala is supporting JDRF, with monies raised going direct to the charity. Says Sam, “I am so thrilled that JDRF will benefit from what should be a fabulous evening.”
Held in a custom-built marquee opposite the Royal Albert Hall, the fair will include furniture, paintings, jewellery, clocks, textiles, silver and ceramics as well as rare books and modern and contemporary objet d’art. It heralds the start of the fair which is held 13-20th June.
Tickets for the event, which takes place 12 June from 6pm, as well as sponsorship or table bookings are still available. Cocktail reception £75. Reception and dinner £300. Dinner table of 10 £3,000. Call 020-7841-3643, email partyinthepark@jdrf.org.uk or see more at www.jdrf.org.uk/partyinthepark
