Members of Diabetics with Eating Disorders will be taking part in a range of activities to generate crucial funds to aid the charity’s work. Sunday 29th September sees them out in force from 4pm at a pub quiz and karaoke night in Retro Bar, London WC2N 6HH, joined by participants who have finished the JDRF walk. Anyone is welcome, but come ready to belt out a few numbers in fancy dress as your musical idol, or just sit back and soak up the spectacle.
Diabetics With Eating Disorders is the only charity of its kind in the United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland. DWED is dedicated to saving lives and improving quality of life through innovative research, solid patient support and improving access to information.
Aoife Twohig-Donfield, who represents the group, says: “Diabetics with eating disorders are unseen, slipping through the net in the current healthcare system. DWED is changing that one step at a time, and there is much more that needs to be done.”
