Diabetes awareness event 26 June hosted by Tony Kelly

An online event is taking place later this month on diabetes awareness. The event will be presented by diabetes ambassador and advocate Tony Kelly, now Diabetes Strategic Patient Partner for NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group.

Topics include facts to prevent, manage and control diabetes, rates of diagnoses and why black people are two to four times more likely to develop diabetes than white people. A Q&A session will follow the presentation. The event is being organised by Canarsie Holiness Tabernacle Women’s Ministry, based in New York.
