LATEST ISSUE: News, news and more news (and your rights about accessing an NHS dentist)

Our September issue is packed full of news. Some about medications, some about vitamins (well, vitamin D in particular) as well as device updates.

Insulin pumps and CGMs are centre-stage since the new NICE guidelines came info force earlier this year, with a notable change in emphasis from ‘only if they really qualify for one or both’ to ‘all Type 1s [and some Type 2s] are to be offered a choice of CGM (currently the Libre 2 or the Dexcom ONE) as well as being offered an insulin pump. This wasn’t going to happen overnight, especially in the current circumstances, but we’re getting there. Not that you have to change what you are doing if you don’t want to!

In the rest of the magazine we take a look at accessing an NHS dentist, in Need to Know on p.28 and our regular Making Carbs Count column in this issue is about ‘the other marmite’, vanilla.

Desang Diabetes Magazine is our free-to-receive digital journal (see below). We cover diabetes news, diabetes management equipment (diabetes ‘kit’ such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring equipment) and news about food suitable for a diabetic diet including a regular Making Carbs Count column. We just need your email address to subscribe you (it really is free, and you can easily unsubscribe should you wish to).
