A free World Diabetes Day event taking place in Sheffield on 11 November from 10am-4pm will focus on Diabetes and Well Being. The event, to be held at The Circle (33 Rockingham Lane, Sheffield, S1 4FW) will have a slightly different format from previous events. There will be speakers throughout the day, with breaks for refreshments and networking opportunities.
The event will include sessions on:
- promoting mental health and looking at help available
- eating well and food choices
- promoting being active
- how tech can help
- coping with more than one long term condition
- peer support
- good approaches to stress and stressful situations (eg eye screening, foot checks, annual reviews)
