Dexcom G5 Mobile special offer

The Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) system gives accurate*, real-time glucose readings transferred wirelessly onto your phone or receiver*. Alerts and alarms can warn you of high and low glucose levels, so you can spend more time in your target range. With 24-hour readings, you can get a full night’s sleep without the fear of missing hypos. Using the Dexcom Follow app, you can share your real-time readings with the people you choose, like parents or carers, who will also get the alerts when your glucose levels change*. This system is licensed for users to dose based on CGM readings. Only needing two calibrations per day, it means you can make insulin dose decisions without necessarily having to do a confirmatory blood test*.

See below for the Dexcom Starter Kit offer, from £160.

With Animas leaving the UK and Ireland insulin pump device market, at some point all Animas users will have to choose a new pump. Many Animas users already used Dexcom Platinum and will have to decide whether to they wish to move to the G5 Mobile system..

Dexcom CGM is a stand-alone CGM system. Therefore it can be used alongside any pump or pen and can be ordered independently. You can discuss with your healthcare professional the pros and cons of using CGM with MDI (multiple daily injections) or having a CGM integrated with a pump versus running CGM alongside the pump.

A finger prick is needed every 12 hours to calibrate. (4) Internet connectivity required for data sharing. Following requires the use of the Follow App. Followers should always confirm readings on the Dexcom G5 Mobile App or Receiver before making treatment decisions.
